Get to Know Us

South by north is a creative culmination of both Stacy Yergens and Joshua Beman. Individually, Stacy is a professional ballroom dance instructor and Joshua is a multimedia creative. Together, we’ve embraced our passion for hosting and photographing memorable events by developing South BY North Photography; an extension of the parent company South BY North Productions.

The name itself is attributed to us, as we met between our home states of Alabama and Indiana; within the greater Charlotte area. Beman, originally from the south, and Yergens, heralding from the north come together utilizing our initials to form South BY North.

We are excited to embark on this journey and hope to share treasured moments with you and yours through pop-up portrait sessions, one-on-one photo shoots or capturing the fun and forever moments at your next event.
